Craniosacral Therapy

Adults.       Children.       Infants.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports nervous system regulation and helps the body release restriction and tension. CST works with the craniosacral system—structures and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord—to support comfort, balance, and the body’s self-correcting capacity.

At Inner Bloom, CST is offered across the lifespan and is often especially supportive when the body is under stress, holding tension, or working hard to adapt. Many clients come in because something feels “off”—they may not have a clear diagnosis, but they know their body (or their child’s body) is asking for support.

How CST Fits at Inner Bloom
Some clients seek CST for relaxation or nervous system support. Others integrate it into developmental, feeding, or regulation work.
In all cases, CST is offered as a gentle way to support comfort, safety, and ease in the body.

What a Session Feels Like

CST uses a light touch and a slow, attuned pace. Sessions are quiet and individualized, with a strong emphasis on safety, comfort, and nervous system readiness. CST can be offered as a one-time session, similar to bodywork.  However, benefits are usually seen over several sessions or integrate it into ongoing program.

Sessions are slow, responsive, and guided by the body’s readiness.

Craniosacral Therapy

Traditional CST focuses on gently releasing physical restrictions that may influence comfort, movement, and regulation.

It may support:
• nervous system balance
• tension patterns in the body
• feeding and oral tension
• sleep and settling
• postural organization

SomatoEmotional Release

SomatoEmotional Release (SER) expands on traditional CST by recognizing that the body may hold protective patterns related to stress or past experience.
SER offers a gentle way to support the release of these patterns when appropriate.

At Inner Bloom, SER is always invitational and grounded in safety. It is never forced or pursued — but allowed to emerge when the nervous system is ready.

Conception, Pregnancy & Postpartum

CST may be supportive during conception, pregnancy, and postpartum as the body adapts and recovers.

It may help support:
• comfort during pregnancy
• nervous system regulation
• recovery after birth
• whole-body balance during times of change
• preparing and supporting the body’s structural and soft tissue balance, including uterine and pelvic alignment

This work focuses on supporting the parent’s body and nervous system during a sensitive and physically demanding time.

Infants

Infants may benefit from CST when there are signs of:
• body tension
• feeding stress
• difficulty settling
• asymmetry or side preference
• tension patterns that may influence comfort, movement, or early organization

This work gently supports comfort, regulation, and early organization.
