Listening Therapy
Listening therapy is a nervous-system–based approach that uses specially filtered music to support regulation, sensory processing, and connection. Rather than asking the nervous system to work harder, these programs help it feel safer — creating a foundation for attention, participation, emotional regulation, and social engagement.

This work is based on Polyvagal Theory (Dr. Stephen Porges) and supports the function of the vagus nerve — helping regulate:
• calm and alert states
• sensory sensitivity
• emotional responses
• social engagement
• body organization
Our Listening Programs

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
Supports sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, attention, and social connection by helping the nervous system move toward greater safety.

Rest & Restore Protocol (RRP)
Supports calming and restoration for individuals experiencing stress, overwhelm, or difficulty settling.

Integrated Listening System (iLs)
Supports sensory integration, motor planning, attention, and body awareness, often alongside developmental work.
Listening therapy is delivered remotely with guidance and support, allowing it to be completed gradually within familiar daily environments.
At Inner Bloom, listening therapy is integrated thoughtfully within a broader understanding of sensory processing, neurodevelopment, and regulation — supporting greater comfort, safety, and participation in everyday life.
Listening therapy may be helpful for:
• sensory sensitivities
• regulation challenges
• developmental differences
• anxiety or stress
• attention challenges
• auditory sensitivities
